The Boredoms looking for new drummer (actually, a couple)

Along with his usual pics of seafaring birds, legendary bearded bassist Mike Watt announced via email today that equally iconic Japanese noisemakers, The Boredoms, are looking for not one, not two, but SEVENTY-SEVEN FRICKIN DRUMMERS to partake in a special show in New York City. I mean, think of all the “backperson complexes” assembled in one general area. Drummers everywhere unleashing an almighty pent-upment of slighted rage. Soloing as a means to emancipation! Neal Pert will be named first diety of this ad-hoc religious experience.

You’re so right, DA. Ambition and art usually are inverse relationships. The best artists I know forget to feed themselves.
