Manu Chao cancels Bayside Show

May 24, 2007 - 10:05 am

The first victim of the new Coronado noise ordinances. He’s canceled his June 5 show at Bayside concerts. He’s moving it to Plaza de Toros Monumental, Tijuana Mexico. Which, honestly, is a better place to see a dude who sings in 412 languages.

But the question is: How did Bayside not know that Manu Chao was too loud when they booked the show? Did a grandma from Coronado get a hold of a Manu Chao CD and complain? More news as I get it…

I saw his Bayside show last July and it didn’t seem particularly loud, though it did last longer than most shows there.
