Throw ‘em a bone Jer, just this once
Voiceofsandiego.org just reported that if the City Council votes today to send a legal brief in support of a same-sex marriage case, Mayor Jerry Sanders said he’ll veto it.
Voice’s Evan McLaughlin got a quote from the mayor’s spokesperson, Fred Sainz: “He made his position clear two years ago when he was asked about this issue,” Sainz said. “In this time in the city’s history, we should be focused on the city’s finances.”
Anyone ever hear the term “multi-tasking”? Not to toot my own horn, but at the very same time, I can balance a checkbook and effectively argue why the gender of two people who want to marry shouldn’t matter. And chew gum, too.
