If there’s one thing the townsfolk of PB can rally behind, it’s their collegiate right to get a good drunk on. And I say collegiate because that is the lifeblood of this community-college kids, not the yuppie minority who are trying to change PB into La Jolla Jr. If you want to set up camp in a party town, don’t start wining when you have to deal with the occasional drunk kid on the beach. Don’t be fooled, people who move to PB know what they’re getting into. I wouldn’t move into a retirement community and expect them to tolerate me blasting the new 50 Cent disc all night long.

The committee merely passes on a recommendation to the full City Council, which must vote twice on the ordinance. Then it goes to the mayor for a signature or a veto.
