The mac attack

If you’re a Mac geek, you already know about The MacCast, which was voted the number one podcast show on PodcastAlley.com for many months in a row back in the days when only computer nerds knew about podcasting.  Now that the mainstream crowd has jumped on board, less clever stuff like Keith and The Girl is getting voted into the top 10.

Anyway, the point here is not the decline of the top 10 podcast list on my favorite podcast directory, the point is that I’m pretty sure I heard the voice of Adam Christianson, The MacCast creator who lives in San Diego, on NPR this morning.  He was commenting on the rise of viruses hitting Macs instead of PCs, saying there’s really nothing to worry about because there’s still only about 10 viruses affecting Macs whereas about a billion viruses are out there destroying PCs.   Why are Macs so much better?  Why am I still using a PC?

    Kinsee,
If you did hear me yesterday morning, can you let me know on which show? I was not contacted by them, but my podcast falls under Creative Commons, so it is possible they picked up a clip. I would love to hear it if they did.

I was in the shower when it came on, I was pretty sure it was your voice, but I could have been wrong. Did you recently talk about Mac viruses on your show?

The short story on Macs is that they’re easier to use, have more reliable software and are better made. But you pay much more for the same amount of computing power. And, that, as they say, is that.
