Yep. I just got an e-mail that said Digital Underground will be disbanding in March. The rumor is confirmed on Shock G’s myspace page:
“CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED: Official digital underground disband begins March ‘08. Free to gig independantly, looking for work..All serious proper-pay offers will be considered..From music & entertainment to illustrating & writing..From house piano player, to touring keyboardist in rising band..From magazine work to film work, to product endorsements..Anything creative, long term/steady to short term/seasonal..Open to new ideas & referrals, any suggestions? Have car, will travel, will consider relocate..Worldwide, from Los Angeles to Japan..Holla!”
Perhaps this is old news to hardcore hip-hop heads, but it’s bad news nonetheless.
