If you were downtown last night around 10 p.m., you couldn’t help but notice the crowd of about two or three hundred 18 through 20-year-olds outside Deco’s nightclub. The San Diego Police Department was called in for crowd control, but the teens pretty much refused to budge. Apparently, San Diego teens have been waiting for an all-ages night in an upscale downtown club like a starved street cat waits for juicy butterflies. They pounced on Deco’s new all-ages Thursday nights, dressed in their club-gear best and ready to party.
SDPD was left making arrest threats through loudspeakers while the kids simply treated the sidewalk outside of Deco’s as the pre-party pad. It was all pretty awesome if you ask me.
