Anyone interested in San Diego music circa 1979-1986 should visit Matt Rothenberg’s great Che Underground Blog. It gets its name for the scene that formed in 1983/4 around a group of post-punk rock and roll bands that played regularly at the Che Cafe, including Noise 292, Answers, Hair Theatre, etc.But the blog has become a treasure trove of early SD underground rock scene lore. Check it out.
