It&#039;s been a number of years, but Metallica and conductor Michael Kamen played a few gigs together with the San Francisco Symphony, back in, like, the previous millennium (AKA 1999). I didn&#039;t see the show, but it sounded terrific, with Metallica wailing away on &quot;Ride the Lightning&quot; and &quot;Sanitarium,&quot; accompanied by string sections, horns, the whole nine yards.]]></description>
