While it shows the wall between editorial/ad here at CityBeat, I have to admit that the ad caught me as an unpleasant surprise as well. Although…I haven’t called the number yet. I don’t have a copy of citybeat with me right now, but it had a crudely drawn face with its mouth open and said “Being Fat Sucks” and then had a phone number for some sort of weight loss group. I hope it was just a coincidence, but thats pretty insensitive nonetheless.
