i had a client who hired me a day after he visited with Mr dui. he actually brought along the fee agreement, which, to be fair, spelled everything out in mind numbing detail. the main thing to be aware with lawyers that spend signifcant money on advertising is that raises both the number of clients they need to be profitable, and the price they need to extract from each client. A collolary of that statement is that then go about developing a business model that resembles other high volume operations- with an emphasize on high pressure sales techniques.

I was told that when you go visit mr dui they put you in a little room- the secretary tells you that he broke an engagement so he could meet with you that night (probably not true since most dui meetings are held after working hours); that they show you a video where he talks different issues; then you meet with him and he goes through a check list and tells you at the end that you have a very winnable case. Of course, the fee agreement you sign makes it quite clear that trial is $5-7 K more then the initial retainer.

That being said, I’ve never heard any complaints from mr dui patrons- certainly nothing along the lines of what pacific law center is hit with on a regular basis.

I’ve actually had a good experience with Mr. DUI. Yes, you do watch this video while you are in the waiting room, but no biggie, keeps you from being bored. It’s a funny little video with some helpful information. I read the fee retainer very carefully and it seems to cover everything that is needed to protect both client and attorney. What do you expect from a law office? I’m a real estate agent (among other things) so I have seen a lot of contracts before. This is nothing compared to a real estate contract…. So, ya…I signed up with Mr. DUI, Eugene Ellis and his team of lawyers helped me out BIG TIME and got my DUI reduced to a wet wreckless. Which is great for me. Not I don’t have a criminal record and I keep my job, car and license.
