UPDATE: The promoters for this show are supposedly talking with the band about postponing the performance to September. We should expect to hear an announcement about the rescheduled gig sometime tomorrow, June 4.

I was coming down from San Fran for that show too!
    Friday should still be fun!

And all day Saturday in San Diego is Art Around Adams (http://artaroundadams.com/).

There will be electronica (live and dj’s) all day at Kadan at 30th and Adams.

And also at Kadan, Brokenbeat night (http://www.brokenbeat.com/) that evening!

UPDATE #2, as quoted on the D-Town Tijuana website:

“Due to insurmountable logistic issues out of the hands of the local production company, Sigur Rós will not be able to be on time at the June 8 show at Planeta Tijuana and will not be able to fulfill their commitment.

“The show will be postponed to the month of September. That decision was [made] by Sigur Rós’s management whose argument was security issues relating to the freight of the band’s equipment and instruments on Mexican commercial airlines.”

The update continues, saying that the exact date of the band’s rescheduled performance will be announced on http://www.dtowntijuana.com on Monday, June 9, and that tickets from this Sunday’s canceled show will be honored at the September show.
