agreed that these photos are exquisite and that we are witnessing a new red scare, but the tomatoes in the pictures above look like your typical pesticide-grown variety that have no taste and the consistency of wax. Give me the sweet, juicy organic heirlooms my dad grows in his garden – and y’all can keep your grocery store round reds and romas to yourselves, e-coli or no e-coli.

DA – have you read Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver yet? She preaches to the choir you already sing in, but I think you’d enjoy it anyway.
