DMV will be closed Saturday, Sept. 20

So how do you like that? Both San Diego DMV offices (Hillcrest and Clairemont) will be closed on the only Saturday that they’d normally be open this month, according to a press release from the DMV: “Due to the delayed state budget and staffing constraints,” it says. Has anyone else noticed the insanely long lines outside the Hillcrest DMV? Has it always been that way? It’s not like I’ve never waited in line at a DMV, but I’ve never had to actually stand in a line that stretches outside and around a DMV office.
