That’s Gloria’s image and that’s the reality of his intentions. All one needs to do is look at the list of Gloria contributors: ALL of the builders and developers and lobbyists, plus key smarmy pro-privatization cheerleaders inside the Economic Development department in CPCI. D3 is a ripe plum waiting to be gobbled up by the likes of Mitch Berner, Gina Champion-Cain, et al. (At least Nancy Graham is gone, but not her friends who live in and want to turn the Golden Hill/South Park area into the next CCDC-like fiefdom. …LeSar, Atkins, Lydon, Shapery… the list is long.) Especially vulnerable are the parts of South Park and Golden Hill that are under the control of Hueso and friends in the aspiring GGHCDC. South Park/Golden Hill has few activist community organizers and groups to fight off the lobbyists, greedy nonprofits, and developers. It’ll be a rout, tapping into taxpayer dollars at the federal and local level and turning the money over to private players. Gloria is their boy, and he owes them a lot of payback.
