San Diego march against Prop. 8 tonight
This just in from Rich’s Nightclub:
Community March on City Hall: Friday, November 7th at 9pm
This has been a difficult week for our community and we ask that you join us and thousands of friends and supporters of our community for a peaceful and positive march to protest Proposition 8. The march will start Friday at 9pm at 6th Avenue and Laurel Street in Balboa Park and will end at San Diego City Hall. We have strength in numbers and in knowing that we are on the right side of this issue. Please keep this march positive, organized and peaceful. Violence and anger will not help our cause.

I want to support this movement to overturn Prop 8. Unfortunately, we missed this event. Is there a mailing list I can join or website I can access? Thanks!

They are very creative in how they approach this hot topic issue of gay marriage, in that they engage in service oriented activities in communities typically opposed to equal rights to foster thought and change for LGBT equality.
A friend of mine told me about it and I thought it was a great, positive approach to the issue. We had so much fun at the last event and it was great to give back to the community. Plus it was great to converse with others on the other side of the table in a way that wasn’t confrontational.
Anyway, this can be such a heated issue and I thought this was a unique approach.
