Stacy Taylor show canceled
Just heard the bad news from Stacy Taylor’s producer, Jorge Espinoza, that he and Stacy are out of work—again. Taylor, a radio personality for decades in San Diego, developed a hardcore liberal following during a several-years-long stint on AM-1360 when it was an Air America affiliate and had been with AM-1700 for less than a year before he was canned.
I wrote a feature profile about Taylor that was published at about the same time he signed on with 1700.
Mass exodus from the U-T, layoffs at Riviera, Ron Donoho gets the boot from San Diego Magazine—the local media bloodletting continues.

I hope he keeps us posted where he finally shows up–
I thought his show was doing pretty good?
What??????? I heard CNN where stacy normally is and got worried… I guess it was well founded…
The Stacy Taylor Show was horrible and un-listenable for any Conservative to bear (Not Objective Enough) and without Conservative listeners Liberal Radio can not make it, he is just too much of wacko Liberal for San Diego, maybe he should go to work for the Al Jazeera’s Washington DC news centre if they would have him.
Yea, Stacy’s a real wacko alright–him and the other 75% who think Bush has driven us into a ditch….
DugFmJamul, you are wrong on several points. First, some conservatives appreciated Stacy Taylor and were members of his audience. He developed a following among both conservatives and liberals when he was still at KFMB years ago, and some of them continued to listen and call in, so your unqualified comment where you claim to speak for all conservatives is just silliness. Second, your argument that liberal radio can’t make it without conservative listeners is ridiculous because you have no way of proving how many listeners to any of the nationally successful liberal talk programs (Ed Schultz, Bill Press, Stephanie Miller, etc. etc.) are conservative nor of proving that these shows wouldn’t survive without them. Also, Stacy Taylor has been a huge success in San Diego for years. The reason he’s been dumped from AM 1700 probably has to do with the fact that the program director for the station is far right winger Mark Larson. Saying Taylor should go work for Al Jazeera is
just being snotty. Your point that San Diego is too conservative for a liberal talk show is really ignorant. San Diego has more registered democrats than conservatives and just last month had the largest pro gay marriage march in the country. The main reason SD doesn’t have much local liberal programming is because of the biases of ownership.
Ok, does this work for you;
The Stacy Taylor Show was horrible and un-listenable for THIS Conservative to bear (Not Objective Enough) and without Conservative listeners LIKE ME Liberal Radio can not make it, he is just too much of wacko Liberal for San Diego IN MY OPINION, maybe he should go to work for the Al Jazeera’s Washington DC news centre if they would have him.
Oh by the way the reason there are more registered Democrats here in San Diego is because California DOES NOT VALIDATE US CITIZENSHIP when people register to vote and vote. Non-Citizens register Democrat or nonpartisan, do not vote Republican and do not listen to The Stacy Taylor Show!
Check out “The Threat of Non-Citizen Voting” at http://www.heritage.org/Research/LegalIssues/lm28.cfm
I do miss Stacy and Jorge and I looked forward to the show each day. It feels like a news blackout accept for Citybeat. Its really a shame they are gone and all the callers who contributed so much to the program. I think they discussed relevant topics and alot of shared thoughts and similar opinions. Thanks to all the many people who kept it live for all the listners!
It pained me to listen and watch Stacy go down the sinkHole into the Liberal Morass over the last few years. I remember Stacy from the old days when he was fighting with the TV weatherman Larry Mente and the days he would complain about the Philippinoes wearing the Rayon shirts and smelling. He was also the one that suggested the removed mayor Roger Hedgecock would be a good talk show host and recommended him to the management of the station. When he left to go to Chicago I was sorry.
When he showed up again on the Air America station I thought it was a gag. I listened to him on AM 1700 and always expected him to admit that his show was just an act. What finally convinced me otherwise was the female called in who just couldn’t stand living in the same neighborhood as someone that had a Yes on 8 sign on their lawn. She then related how she even saw the man at that address actually tear up paper and put it in the Garbage can instead of the Re-Cycle, “Gasp”!! I waited for Stacy to ream her a good one but listened as he actually AGREED with her. After that I gave up and accepted that he had gone to the KooKsville side. Please Stacy, say it isn’t so! After that even the nutBars that would call in were of no interest. Talk Radio is still the place for listeners who can think. Just doesn’t seem to be of interest to the crowd called Liberals who only go on their feelings. BTW, I did like his music.
Jeez, one xenophobe from Jamul who thinks the Heritage Foundation is a good source of unbiased info, and another wingnut hater that hoped Stacy was putting on an act when he pandered to all the “Kooks” and “nutBars” that were regular callers and listeners to his show. We all know that the “Liberal Morass”, those touchy-feely gay lovers will be the death of us. If only we could return to the good ole days of segregation and Chevy Novas, when a man was a man, and Roger Hedgecock was a felon.
JBUCLA,
Do you believe that Thom Hartmann, Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, The Huffington Post, The New York Times, The LA Times, The San Francisco Chronicle and finally The San Diego Uniton Tribune are all sources of nonpartisan information and are not bias at all?
Now validating US Citizenship when people register to vote and vote is xenophobic, I bet you got that information from Thom Hartmann, Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, The Huffington Post, The New York Times, The LA Times, The San Francisco Chronicle and finally The San Diego Uniton Tribune didn’t you?
Maybe DugFmJamul needs to attend an AMURICAN school to be tutored in the intricacies of spelling, writing, and good grammar. Unfortunately his type will continue to serve me burgers at MacDonalds rather than avail themselves of such difficult learning pursuits.
Who is this wingnut from Jamul? I’m from Jamul and I don’t feel that way. I enjoyed Stacy’s show and most of the callers. I hope Stacy shows up on another station. Please let me know if he does.
This LA Market listener was willing to listen to a 1700 to hear Stacy even with all the static down here. I will really miss him. Hope he finds a new venue. Disagree with the conservative poster. Truth is conservative radio wouldn’t make it if the more liberal majority didn’t do themselves a disservice by listening to it. Even tho’ it is sometimes virtually the only choice – it would behoove us all to just say no to conservative radio.
If stacy Taylor and liberal talk radio goes, I don’t listen to talk radio! Mostly music, and some KPBS. Until the busness and right wing-nuts come on, then back to music. For talk it’s the computer and Nova M and Tom Hartmann.
Let me know when and where Stacy comes back.
Now there is little if any Radio in San Diego to listen to. And The Jaumal wacko is rowing with one oar.
Dugfmjamul’s citation of a Heritage Foundation report, “The Threat of Non-Citizen Voting” hardly validates his own racist perspective. The Heritage Foundation is the source of the 3000 page primary document of the neo-conservative movement, “Mandate for Leadership”. In other words, The Heritage Foundation is the bowel from which emerged the huge pile of $hit that is primarily responsible for our current worldly nightmare. The “Reagan Revolution” (Bush replaced Ronnie as the worst president), the “Contract With America” (Newtie’s failed stab at immortality), the “Bush Doctrine”, all of the Fascist policies espoused by the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity, Hedgecock, Savage (nee Weiner), Levin (the king of hate radio) and all of the war mongering, hate spewing, racist, bigoted and homophobic voices of the radical right talk show circuit and their narrow minded, intolerant, evangelical fellow travelers came from the Heritage Foundation. No matter what your political leanings are, there is absolutely no valid comparison to these Orwellian “pigs” who think they are “more equal than other animals”. The media voices of the liberals, Olbermann, Maddow, Hartmann, Huffington, et al, do not disguise their point of view but are a truthful retort to the barrage of lies, twists and spins coming from the other end of the political spectrum. I’m sorry but I can’t include Tweety. He is an embarrassment to us all. One may remember that Stacy Taylor came to us from the right as did Arianna Huffington. They finally wised up and from looking at the results of our recent election many others have also seen the light. The neo-cons have done what may very well be irreparable damage to our once great country. Dugfmjamul can continue to wallow in the pig sty of ignorance that is the extreme right but this is now the twenty first century and his time as with theirs is finally over. Now we have a huge job ahead of us trying to undo the damage they have wrought. YES WE CAN!!!
One other thing, the inclusion of the SDUT in the same breath with the other news outlets is a gross insult to the others. The SDUT is the worst major city daily newspaper in the country, hands down, end of story. You can argue the biases of the others all day long but they are quality newspapers compared to the already used toilet tissue that is published daily in the city of San Diego. Hopefully the deviation from a rational and truthful reality that has been the daily proscription of the Copley Press for almost nine decades is almost over. Let’s hope and pray that the new owner/owners will be more forthcoming and more forthright with the truth and a little less Heritage Foundation agenda driven.
You can hate some of the people all of the time, you can hate all of the people some of the time, but – if you’re a liberal you just hate everyone and everything that doesn’t fit your twisted concept of reality all the time. The left has already destroyed the great state of California and the whole country is in the cross-hairs. I have been watching the destruction of this country since the 1960′s (the worst decade in the last century) and liberalism continues to lie to the people and dumb them down. Don’t forget, three years ago, even though things were not perfect, times were pretty good and the price of gas was pretty low. Then Shazam, the left took over congress and the downhill slide began. Oh, I forgot, Obama is going to cut taxes for 90% of the people. Another example of the liberal lie.
It appears that RightAWay is one more Orwellian pig, wallowing in the pig$hit next to Dugfmjamul as tenants in the “pig sty of ignorance that is the extreme right”.
RightAWay blurts, ” Don’t forget, three years ago, even though things were not perfect, times were pretty good and the price of gas was pretty low. Then Shazam, the left took over congress and the downhill slide began. Oh, I forgot, Obama is going to cut taxes for 90% of the people. Another example of the liberal lie.” This babble makes absolutely no sense at all but is typical of the twisted, meaningless (and untruthful) rhetoric that we are use to hearing from their ilk. You should be more careful, your stupidity is showing. Of course, I don’t mind if you don’t. It appears as though you have had your snout buried in the slop trough for the past eight years and are not aware of our country’s descent into the morass of lies, deceit, incompetence and destruction created by the zombies appointed to carry out the fascist pogrom of the Bush administration.
The “left” winning back Congress had nothing to do with higher gas prices. The rapid rise in gas prices was caused by artificial shortages created by the oil companies and rampant speculation in the futures market. These dual causes are both auguries of fascism not socialism. Even though the Democrats won back Congress in ’06 the Republicans continued their obstructionism by using the filibuster a record 73 time in the last Congress. You cant really blame anything on the Democrats with the Repubs holding a record like that.
I don’t hate you, I don’t even feel sorry for you but I do resent the hell out of you for the damage you have done to our country. Oh, and by the way, it was Ronnie Raygun that destroyed the great state of California, not the left.
Again, the hate flows. DuckStupidThere is a classic example. No concept of the real world. Oh, and BTW use spell check next time. As usual, lots of rhetoric but no facts. But then, why let facts get in the way of an agenda. There, that’s my hateful advice.
RightAway: Gas prices have been dramatically increasing in price between 2002 – 2008. Years before the Democrats even took office. Your point is incorrect, ignorant, and misleading. I’m a moderate, so don’t start your liberal hating at me. Your a non caring, non-compassionate, everyone hating but your sick self disgusting animal.
Please, RightAWay, don’t confuse the truth for rhetoric. WrongAWay has it right in his response, “Your point is incorrect, ignorant, and misleading.”
Hey Wrong. Don’t be such a hater.
Hey Duck, You have no concept of the truth.
RightAWay, Blah, blah, blah, blah. You have absolutely no validity.
You are a cipher. All you can do is call us haters. Not only is that untrue, it does not disguise or alter your ignorance. You are a partisan hack with no originality at all. Not an original thought in your addled brain. Your only ability is to parrot the blather of hate radio. Stacy Taylor spoke truth to your ignorance and for that he is gone. So much for accuracy in media. And on top of that, your mother wears Army boots. Go away and stop your petty annoyance.
How many Ducks does it take to raise taxes on the producers? Answer – 51% of the non workers. Why is Obama going to raise taxes on Aspirin? Answer – because it’s white and works.
Chicago …. Who Runs it?
Senators: Barack Obama & Dick Durbin
Representative: Jesse Jackson, Jr.
Illinois Governor: Rod Blogojevich (arrested)
Illinois House leader: Mike Madigan
Illinois Attorney General: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike)
Chicago Mayor: Richard M. Daley (son of Mayor Richard J. Daley)
The leadership in Illinois ? All Democrats.
Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago .
Body count in the last six months: 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago 221 killed in Iraq
State pension fund – $44 Billion in debt, worst in the country.
Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax – 10.25% highest in country. (Look it up).
Chicago school system – rated one of the worst in the country.
Of course, they’re all blaming each other. They can’t blame Republicans because there aren’t any.
This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois . And he’s going to ‘”fix” Washington politics for us?
Good luck and may God help us.
I sure was shocked to hear that Stacy’s program was cancelled. I miss listening to Stacy and Jorge. Finally another program (after 1360) giving balance to the political discussion……. Unfortunately, the right-wingers who own the local airwaves really aren’t into balance. Hopefully Stacy will get back on the air again soon and bring a progressive voice back to the local airwaves. God knows we need it!
Now Stacy’s website is down.
RightAWay, your comment about aspirin was just your thinly disguised racism. Very thinly disguised, and a pitiful attempt at humor, I might add. Make what you will of the problems in Chicago and Illinois but at their worst they pale in comparison to the crimes of the Bush administration that have, for the past eight years, taken our country and the Constitution and tossed them in the trash can. They took a budget surplus left over from the Clinton administration, squandered it on an illegal war and indebted us to the tune of $12,000,000,000,000 a month and now we are bankrupt and hated by the rest of the world. That’s Bush’s legacy and you are only concerned about a little political corruption in Chicago. You priorities are obviously pretty screwed up. You can rail against Obama all you wish but it will not change the fact that he won with a huge plurality not only of the popular vote but of the electoral vote and that it was a blatent repudiation of the fascist Bush administration and his Republican cronies.
The dumb suck stops here.. Look , you need to wear a burka.. you’ll feel better and there will be peace in the world
RightAWay and others: We get it: You hate Obama, you blame Demos for everything and continue to spout the same, tired rhetoric.
That’s nice, but you fail on every level. Come back with something more intelligent than “liberal,” Chicago,” etc.
And while you’re at it, please step away from the computer for awhile and go do something useful for a change.
And props to Duck for his/her sharp retors to Right’s boring old garbage lifted from Sean Hannity’s show.
And to Dug: You don’t know squat about Stacy Taylor’s show. He was the best thing in S.D. talk radio. That you have neither the tolerance nor the intellect to appreciate it is your problem — not ours.
RightAway: You are an ignorant, racist jerk. Go to hell — and stay there.
On a different note: Does anyone know where Taylor has gone off to, or if he has a new gig anywhere? Any info would be appreciated.
More hate from the left. Anyone from the Right side must be silenced. The people must not hear the other side. All major news outlets are controlled by the left except talk radio. Why is the left afraid of the truth? The left ideas have never worked and are destroying this country. Why do they hate? Because they know their ideas are bankrupt and have never worked and never will work. However, their hate for the truth is so strong that they will completely destroy anything they deem wrong or do not understand and yet be pleased in their gated communities and Universities.
BTE, I believe that W should have been impeached for helping to destroy the country with his liberal spending and his insane immigration policies.
Lets see. We have a $800,000,000,000 stimulus package on top of a $700,000,000,000 Bank / Wall street / FannyMae bailout. The $800,000,000,000 stimulus package will generate 4,000,000 new jobs. Whether or not the jobs are temporary make work or actual sustainable jobs is another argument. However, if the numbers are at least close, each job will cost the tax payers $2,000,000.
Where is the rest of the money going?
We have been hearing from the Bush-hating far-left for more than five years that, ‘Bush lied.’ Somehow, that slogan loses its credibility now that 550 metric tons of Saddam’s yellowcake, intended for enrichment, has been discovered and shipped to Canada where it will be used to produce nuclear energy, not nuclear weapons.
It appears that American troops found the 550 metric tons of uranium in 2003 after invading Iraq. They had to sit on this information and the uranium itself, for fear of terrorists attempting to steal it. It was guarded and kept safe by our military in a 23,000-acre site with large sand berms surrounding the site.
This is vindication for the Bush administration, having been attacked mercilessly by the liberal media and the far-left pundits on the blogosphere. Now that it is proven that President Bush did not lie about Saddam’s nuclear ambitions, one would think the mainstream media would report the story? Once the AP released the story, the mainstream media should have picked it up and broadcast it worldwide.
This never happened, due in large part, to the fact that the mainstream media would have to admit they were wrong about Bush’s war motives all along. Thankfully, the AP got it right when it said,
The removal of 550 metric tons of ‘yellowcake’ – the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment – was a significant step toward closing the books on Saddam’s nuclear legacy.
Closing the book on Saddam’s nuclear legacy? Did Saddam have a nuclear legacy after all? I thought Bush lied? As it turns out, the people who lied were Joe Wilson and his wife.
Valerie Plame engaged in a clear case of nepotism and convinced the CIA to send her husband on a fact finding mission in February 2002 seeking to determine if Saddam Hussein attempted to buy yellowcake from Niger. The CIA and British intelligence believed Saddam contacted Niger for that purpose but needed proof.
During his trip to Niger, Wilson actually interviewed the former prime minister of Niger, Ibrahim Assane Mayaki. Mayaki told Wilson that in June 1999, an Iraqi delegation expressed interest in ‘expanding commer cial relations’ for the purposes of purchasing yellowcake.
Wilson chose to overlook Mayaki’s remarks and reported to the CIA that there was no evidence of Hussein wanting to purchase yellowcake from Niger.
However, with British intelligence insisting the claim was true, President Bush used that same claim in his State of the Union address in January of 2003.
Outraged by Bush’s insistence that the claim was true, Wilson wrote an op-ed in the New York Times in the summer of 2003 slamming Bush.
Wilson did this in spite of the fact that Mayaki said Saddam did try to buy the yellowcake from Niger. The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence disagreed with Wilson and supported Mayaki’s claim. This meant nothing to Wilson who was opposed to the Iraq war and thus had ulterior motives in covering up the prime minister’s statements.
It was a simple tactic really. If the far-left and their friends in the media could prove Bush lied about Hussein wanting to purchase yellowcake from Niger, it would undermine President Bush’s credibility and give them more cause for asking what other ‘lies’ he may have told.
Yet, the real lie came from Wilson, who interpreted his own meaning from the prime minister’s statements and concluded all by himself that the claim of Saddam attempting to purchase yellowcake was ‘unequivocally wrong.’ Curiously, the CIA sat on this information and did not inform the CIA Director, who sided with Bush on the yellowcake claim. This was made public in a bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee report in July 2004.
Valerie Plame also engaged in her own lie campaign by spreading the notion that the Bush administration ‘outed’ her as a CIA agent. Never mind that it was Richard Armitage — no friend of the Bush administration — who leaked Plame’s identity to the press. Never mind that Plame had not been in the field as a CIA agent in some six years.
The truth is, due to their opposition to the war, Joe Wilson, Valerie Plame, the mainstream media and their left-wing friends on the blogosphere engaged in a propaganda campaign to undermine the Bush administration. Now that Saddam’s uranium has been made public and is no longer a threat to the world, do you think these aforementioned parties will apologize and admit they were wrong? Don’t count on it. The rest of the American people should hear the truth about Saddam’s uranium. It is up to you and me to inform them every chance we get.
As far as the anti-war crowd is concerned, the next time they say that,
‘Bush lied,’ we should tell them to, ‘Have their yellowcake and eat it too.’
RightAway. I can’t stop laughing. Your story ” 550 metric tons of uranium” is completely bogus and untrue. You are such a dupe. No wonder you are a Conservative. Your ignorance is only subservient to your gullibility. Really, I can’t stop laughing. ROTFLMAO
See this, you tool.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/war/yellowcake.asp
Well Duck, Apperantly you are not only ignorant but also Blind. Actual pictures are available and the YellowCake ended up in Canada. All reported by your fav’s NBC and NY Times. But, I do understand that your mind is made up and you really don’t want to be confused by facts. True Liberal ism.
Claim: The removal of yellowcake uranium from Iraq in 2008 proved that Saddam Hussein had been trying to restart Iraq’s nuclear program.
Status: False.
Example: [Collected via e-mail, August 2008]
Uranium in Iraq?
I wonder why this hasn’t been on the evening news . . .
Secret U.S. mission hauls uranium from Iraq
Last major stockpile from Saddam’s nuclear efforts arrives in Canada
Secret U.S. Mission Hauls Uranium From Iraq On July 5, 2008, the Associated Press (AP) released a story titled: Secret U.S. mission hauls uranium from Iraq. The opening paragraph is as follows:
The last major remnant of Saddam Hussein’s nuclear program – a huge stockpile of concentrated natural uranium – reached a Canadian port Saturday to complete a secret U.S. operation that included a two week airlift from Baghdad and a ship voyage crossing two oceans.
See anything wrong with this picture? We have been hearing from the far-left for more than five years how, ‘Bush lied.’ Somehow, that slogan loses its credibility now that 550 metric tons of Saddam’s yellowcake, used for nuclear weapon enrichment, has been discovered and shipped to Canada for its new use as nuclear energy.

As far as the anti-war crowd is concerned, the next time they say that, ‘Bush lied,’ we should tell them to, ‘Have the yellowcake and eat it too.’
Origins: In 2001, the government of Italy came into possession of documents that purportedly demonstrated Iraqi officials were attempting to buy uranium yellowcake from Niger (yellowcake can be enriched in centrifuges to produce weapons-grade uranium), and the Italian government shared these documents with intelligence officials in the U.S. and U.K. The CIA
dispatched former ambassador Joseph Wilson to Niger to investigate; he undertook an eight-day trip to that country, and upon his return he reported to the CIA that he found the claims Iraq had attempted to purchase yellowcake from Niger to be “bogus and unrealistic.” Nonetheless, the Bush administration cited the yellowcake evidence as proof of a possible Iraqi nuclear threat, and this claim was a key element in persuading members of Congress to pass a resolution authorizing use of force against Iraq and in “selling the war” to the American public.
On 6 July 2003, Joseph Wilson’s editorial (“What I Didn’t Find in Africa”) charging that “some of the intelligence related to Iraq’s nuclear weapons program was twisted to exaggerate the Iraqi threat” was published in the New York Times. Shortly afterwards, syndicated columnist Robert Novak revealed that Wilson’s wife, Valerie Plame, was a CIA operative, information he said had been obtained from two senior administration officials. Critics charged that the exposure of Valerie Plame’s identity was a deliberate tit-for-tat retaliation orchestrated by the Bush administration that endangered lives (including Plame’s) in order to punish Wilson for taking his disagreement with the White House public. Both sides (and their supporters) accused the other of lying and double-dealing, and more than five years after the beginning of U.S. military involvement in Iraq, the “Plame affair” remains one of the more contentious political issues associated with that war.
Flash forward five years: In July 2008, the U.S. government announced that it had completed the secret removal of 550 metric tons of yellowcake from the Tuwaitha Nuclear Research Center in Iraq, material which was sold and shipped to Cameco, a Canadian uranium producer. The U.S. was anxious to transfer the yellowcake out of Iraq for a variety of safety concerns:
Although the material cannot be used in its current form for a nuclear weapon or even a so-called dirty bomb, officials decided that in Iraq’s unstable environment, it was important to make sure it did not fall into the wrong hands.
There are also health dangers associated with concentrated forms of natural uranium, and since little is secure in Iraq, officials wanted to remove it.
After the American invasion in 2003, Tuwaitha was looted. Barrels used to store the yellowcake were stolen and sold to local people, who used them to store water and food and to wash clothes, according to a report by the atomic energy agency.
The item reproduced in the example block above cites the July 2008 removal of yellowcake from Iraq as proof that Iraq had in fact been buying yellowcake in an attempt to restart its nuclear program (and ultimately produce nuclear weapons) before the U.S. invasion of March 2003, and that therefore the Bush administration was right and Joseph Wilson was wrong. However, that claim is erroneous.
The yellowcake removed from Iraq in 2008 was material that had long since been identified, documented, and stored in sealed containers under the supervision of U.N. inspectors. It was not a “secret” cache that was recently “discovered” by the U.S, and the yellowcake had not been purchased by Iraq in the years immediately preceding the 2003 invasion. The uranium was the remnants of decades-old nuclear reactor projects that had put out of commission many years earlier: One reactor at Al Tuwaitha was bombed by Israel in 1981, and another was bombed and disabled during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. Moreover, the fact that the yellowcake had been in Iraq since before the 1991 Gulf War was plainly stated in the Associated Press article cited in the example above:
Tuwaitha and an adjacent research facility were well known for decades as the centerpiece of Saddam’s nuclear efforts.
Israeli warplanes bombed a reactor project at the site in 1981. Later, U.N. inspectors documented and safeguarded the yellowcake, which had been stored in aging drums and containers since before the 1991 Gulf War. There was no evidence of any yellowcake dating from after 1991, the official said.
Or, as the New York Times stated more plainly:
The yellowcake removed from Iraq was not the same yellowcake that President Bush claimed, in a now discredited section of his 2003 State of the Union address, that Mr. Hussein was trying to purchase in Africa.
The U.S. did manage to ameliorate a substantial security concern by secretly shipping stored yellowcake out of Iraq in mid-2008, but that act was not, as claimed above, proof that Iraq had been purchasing uranium and attempting to restart its nuclear program prior to the U.S. invasion.
RightAway, You omitted the part about the truth.
On 6 July 2003, Joseph Wilson’s editorial (”What I Didn’t Find in Africa”) charging that “some of the intelligence related to Iraq’s nuclear weapons program was twisted to exaggerate the Iraqi threat” was published in the New York Times.
The U.S. did manage to ameliorate a substantial security concern by secretly shipping stored yellowcake out of Iraq in mid-2008, but that act was not, as claimed above, proof that Iraq had been purchasing uranium and attempting to restart its nuclear program prior to the U.S. invasion.
With responces like those posted here by the leftwingnuts and listening to Stacy’s hate spewing show it was no surprise at all that it go canned. Sponsors stayed away in droves from that joke of a show. Had he canned that idiot Scotter about 2 years earlier and acted less hatefull and angry he might still be working in radio. Hate does NOT SELL !!!
Liberalism forces unnatural behavior upon humans, for example:
When a Coyote is your own backyard coyotes trying to eat your pet, instead of getting your rifle to shoot and kill the Coyote. Liberals want us change our behavior and bring our pets inside the house at night instead. I would rather shoot and kill the Coyote before it kills my pet or hunt down the Coyotes and kill them instead. Then I would be free to leave my pets outside at night in my own backyard without the fear of pets being eaten by Coyotes!
