It had a innovative plot line, but the casting was poorly organized and it ultimately portrayed itself as a unoriginal film screaming for a undeserved colt scene. I went the screening of it, and half of the audience who lost interest in it half way through began to actually find humor in the misplaced songs and unnecessary gore, as did I. The component that ate at my respect for Lynn was how Repo! The Genetic Opera was asking to be placed among Sweeney Todd and The Rocky Horror Picture show, when it clearly did not meet those standards. Actually, I believe that Tim Burtons mirror of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was closer…
Some people may say that its a mix of both of those movies, but I think a better description would be: A Gorillaz music video, Saw, and I am Legend went to a rave party, shot up on cocaine that WALL-E offered them, had unprotected sex, and had a baby.
