The DVD–independently released, by the way–came out in December, and it’s terrific. The extras pretty much outdo what you’ll find on most studio products.

The other thing worth noting is that Dr. Horrible probably wouldn’t have been made had it not been for last year’s writer’s strike. Joss Whedon’s time was sufficiently freed up for him to team up with his siblings and some other collaborators to make the piece.
