The words “nacho sale extravaganza” are, on their own, awesome. But it’s the comptroller who’s hosting this sale. Could this be a new source of revenue for the financially-strapped city of San Diego? If so, what’s next? A Department of Purchasing and Contracting bake sale? A Park and Rec ice cream social? The possibilities are endless. Desperate times call for desperate measures—as evident in the “extra salsa $.25″ bit. But, apparently, it’s not any old salsa—it’s Joe’s famous salsa. Who’s Joe? If I’m able to track down more info about what makes his salsa so special, I’ll let you know.
