Wish you were here: A postcard art project?

So, first I got this postacard from someone named Rob in Wyoming about six months ago. On the back it said, “Wish you were here, Rob.” I do know a Rob, but he lives in San Francisco and I’m pretty sure he didn’t send it.

Then I got this postcard this month from someone in San Francisco named Bill:

On the back was the same greeting:

Then I got a postcard from wk12.com, a collaborative art experiment and design agency in Portland that’s currently looking for a new member to join their team. They had the same kiwi stamp, so I thought maybe their postcard was related to the other two postcards I’ve received.
All of these postcards could’ve been sent by different people for different reasons, but I’m thinking they are somehow part of the same project. If anyone out there has any info, please post. I’m confused as usual.

Looks like it has something to do with Wieden + Kennedy, a big-deal ad agency in Portland. There’s a news item on their site (http://www.wk.com/#/news/2471/) about their new W+K12 ad school.
That may or may not explain the “Wish you were here” postcards, but it’s interesting.
