God, forgive Rick Warren

Pastor Rick Warren, in his invocation at Barack Obama’s inauguration, just said it’s a love of freedom, justice and equality that unites Americans, and he asked God to forgive “us” when we fight amongst each other.
No word yet from God on whether or not he, she or it will forgive Warren for his support for inequality under the law when it comes to who gets to be married and who doesn’t.

How he could say “freedom and justice for all” – with a straight face – is beyond me.
