PLAN A: Brian Wilson @ House of Blues. In the 1960s, the former Beach Boys composer installed a sandbox in his living room so he could “feel the beach” while playing piano. Wouldn’t it be nice, then, if they’d booked him at ’Canes? PLAN B: The Black Heart Procession, Buckfast Superbee, a.m. vibe @ The Casbah. Where would San Diego music be without The Black Heart Procession? Well, it would be sunnier. But we have enough sun around here, and, frankly, it’s refreshing to have darkness lurking just around the corner. –Todd Kroviak
