Unwritten Law frontman Scott Russo lost his Rancho Penasquitos home in a fire on early Friday morning. Russo shared the home with his parents and three children and while all escaped uninjured, they lost the entire house, pets and most of their belongings. Russo, who did not have fire insurance, released this statement on the Unwritten Law MySpace page:

“I am at a complete loss for words. My entire family is now homeless, all our pets are dead and all our earthly possessions are gone. In these tough times, my family had been out of work, and the financial burden was too heavy for me to afford home insurance. I’m left with nothing in this world except my family, friends and band, who I’m very thankful are ok. The support from my friends has been overwhelming.”

A 91X-sponsored benefit show has already been planned for tomorrow at the House of Blues with Unwritten Law, Jason Mraz, Switchfoot and Timmy Curran. Tickets can be purchased today at noon using the link above.

Those who can’t make it to the show, but still want to make a donation, can do so via a PayPal account or by sending donations to:

Platinum Financial Management, Inc., For the benefit of Scott Russo, 9200 West Sunset Boulevard, Suite 600, Los Angeles CA 90069.
