TNT goes on hiatus
The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego just announced that their monthly event, TNT (Thursday Night Thing) will go on hiatus starting in May. The break will last until November. MCASD’s director, Hugh Davies, said in a statement that the hiatus is for budgetary reasons. TNT is basically free to attendees—though the museum suggests a $3 donation—and includes access to exhibits, live-music performances and, often, hands-on activities (like a jam-making session to coincide with a presentation by L.A. street-art collective Fallen Fruit). April 2′s TNT will continue as planned. Here are the details from a press release:
The last monthly TNT will take place on Thursday, April 2, with the theme The Shape of Things to Come, inspired by the new exhibition Primary Forms: Illuminated and Opaque (which opened March 15 at the downtown 1001 Kettner galleries). Psychics will meet Spirographs as TNT examines the shapes of things and the shape of things to come. Geometry-themed crafts and a range of fortune-telling activities will be on hand, as well as live music by Lights On, The Traditionist, and The Color of Glass.

Too bad about the hiatus, I love the museum and these events are a great way to spend a weekend day with the family. Hopefully they’ll be back sooner than Nov!

That’s sad. Maybe absence will make the heart grow fonder and it will come back bigger and badder than ever before?
Thats to bad TNT will be on Hold.
Alex AKA SD Vacation Rentals…. You are just here to promote your Rentals. Thats fine BUT, TNT stands for Thursday Night Thing. That is not a weekend day. At least read the blog before posting here to promote.
