The mayor’s budget

Reporter Eric Wolff just called to tell me that Mayor Jerry Sanders is announcing his plan to help balance the city budget by getting $30 million to $40 million worth of concessions from the city’s five labor unions and nearly $7 million in increases to various service fees. No word yet on how he plans to make up the $13-million to $23-million remainder of the estimated $60-million budget shortfall.
