City agrees on contracts with three unions
After four hours of closed City Council session, Mayor Jerry Sanders just announced that the city has reached agreement with two more unions—representing the deputy city attorneys and the while-collar office workers—on a new contract.
Earlier today, he announced that he’d reached tentative agreement with the city’s firefighters. All three agreements are for two years.
The council also voted unanimously to impose the Mayor’s last and final contract offer on the remaining two unions—the blue-collar workers and the police officers.
