And Bill Evans makes three for the port

April 30, 2009 - 3:52 pm

Turns out San Diego hasĀ  a three way competitionĀ  to replace Laurie Black on the Port Commission. Last week, City Councilmember Marti Emerald nominated hotelier Bill Evans to the post Black is vacating. If you’re keeping score at home, we have Emerald’s nomination of Evans, Council members Todd Gloria and Donna Frye’s nomination of environmentalist Diane Takvorian, and then Councilmember Sherri Lightner’s nomination of the song-and-dance man, entrepreneur Marshall Merrifield. That means there’s four council members who haven’t nominated someone to the port.
