The U-T’s blathering rant against Peter Douglas
Last Sunday’s Union-Tribune included an absolutely hysterical editorial (as in hysteria, not hilarity) calling for the ouster of state Coastal Commission chief Peter Douglas.
The U-T, which would sacrifice the natural environment for a quick buck any day of the week, doesn’t like Douglas because he’s uncompromising in his zeal to protect what’s left of the coastline from over-development.
Anyhoo, I’d thought I’d take the opportunity to post an old feature profile I did on Douglas—published in the Oct. 22, 2003, issue of CityBeat. If you have some free time, take a look.
