Ruby still not able to ride

Ruby Caskey, the woman I wrote about who’s homeless and disabled and was banned from buses and trolleys by MTS because she was using a manual wheelchair for balance (as opposed to sitting in it) and to hold her possessions, left me a message this morning. Her battery-powered chair arrived yesterday and she loaded all her stuff on the back of the chair, “but they’re still not letting me ride,” she said. She waited at a designated stop, but buses kept passing her up. She was able to get on the trolley, however. I have a call in to MTS to see what’s up.

As a person who uses a wheelchair, Or a “mobility device” as the PC crowd calls it. I am confused, If Ruby is homeless, How did she get a power chair?
To get Medicaid and other social services you have to have a physical address. So is she really homeless or not and and if she needs something for balance why doesn’t she get a walker. As for her stuff, Tell her to keep it at her mail drop where she gets hers mail and her power chair delivered.
