Street Scene 2009

Seth will be blogging about Street Scene, but until then, we’ve got some photos up. Highlight of Friday (in my opinion): Holy Fuck, a band that for some reason or other, I hadn’t yet heard. Holy fuck do they put on a good show.
Low point: Modest Mouse. The band’s completely lost the energy that launched them. I saw them in 2000 and it was one of the better live shows I’ve been to. Last night? People were walking away after the third song. Maybe the band should take notes from Matt & Kim:

Middlepoint: Homeless people live where these bands are playing. Where are they sent during all this?
Good question. I was wondering the same thing. I’ll see what I can find out.
This thing was beat. you couldn’t get a drink to save your life and the sound from each stage blended into other stages. not so great of a $65 deal.
