PLAN A: Lord Howler, Rats Eyes @ Bar Pink. Anyone with a healthy appreciation for the finer intricacies of Judas Priest and Eagles of Death Metal should already know about locals Lord Howler. And in case you’ve been living under a rock, Rats Eyes (above) are a local hardcore super-group with members of The Locust and Sirhan Sirhan (check out the feature we did awhile back). PLAN B: Sound Tribe Sector 9, Virtual Boy @ House of Blues. By booking this Santa Cruz electro-rock band along with The Bloody Beetroots in April, it seems HOB is making a run at Voyeur as the Downtown place to see cutting-edge electronic acts. Competition is good in this case, because it’ll draw even more cutting-edge acts. BACKUP PLAN: The Howls, Hotel St. George, The Dig, Sunday Times @ The Casbah.
