UPDATE: Don Bauder is reporting that SDNN is out of business and there are some comments going back and forth here.
This memo from San Diego News Network CEO Neil Senturia went out to the online news site’s writers yesterday:

SDNN is in discussions with potential buyers.
Effective June 1, we are suspending all agreements and stipends with
our free lance contributors and writers so please do not do any work
for SDNN until you hear from us.
Should we be successful in our negotiations, we would hope that the
final buyer would be interested in working with many of you.
Barbara and I appreciate all that you have done to help SDNN.
When we know more, we will communicate with you.
Best wishes,
Neil
Don Bauder at the Reader’s on the story, too (and an hour ahead of us).

There isn’t going to be a buyer, no more financing. According to Bauder, salary staff is also gone.
Yeah, Bauder’s reporting is interesting. I hope SDDT or the U-T or Voice confirms it. It ain’t worth my Saturday.
I don’t think anyone is going to hear anything more until Tuesday. Someone’s still uploading soft stories to the site, but that could only mean that someone earns a hundred bucks until Tuesday. They’re probably still hopeful, but personally I don’t see it happening.
this is really kl sweet pick up lines
