RE: Threats received by the Mayor’s Office
Dear Dave;
Per your Public Records Act dated July 22, 2010, regarding threats received by mail, email or noted by phone at the Mayor’ office, there are no responsive documents.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Otherwise, this PRA is considered closed.
Thank you.

Yeah, I’ve got a question: Really? There isn’t a single crazy out there with an envelope full of baking powder with the mayor’s name on it? No “Endorse the sales-tax increase or I will garrote you” memo from Council member Donna Frye? Apparently, not. Total let-down. Davidson tells CityBeat she looked for anything that referenced violence and came up empty.
Which is weird…San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom claims to have received thousands of death threats over the course of his term in office. Here’s are a few other mayors who’ve received death threats in the last few years:
I have to say, I’m a little bummed—but that by no means indicates that I endorse threats against public officials or anyone else for that matter. Violence is bad!
UPDATE: Rachel Laing, the mayor’s spokesperson, said this via Twitter: “That there are no public records of threats does not actually mean no one wants to kill him.”

Ok. I did some research. With the exception of Joyce Spratt and Ed Wilson(no info found on party affiliation), ALL these mayors are lifelong Dems. Bloomberg ran and won on the Repub ticket but was a lifelong Dem before his campaign. Sanders is a Repub. Either someone is full of shit or the reason is because he’s a Repub.

HILARIOUS! Only in California! I see the Dems aren’t waiting for the voters to shoot them in the foot. Did you read about Maxine Waters yet? She and Rangel should be vying for the Democrat of the Year Award.
