Mayor’s deputy press secretary says yes to Yes on D
At the end of the day, Mayor Jerry Sanders’ deputy press secretary will leave City Hall and won’t return officially until November.
Rachel Laing is going on the campaign trail.
Laing has filed for a leave of absence—effective at the end of the day and through Nov. 3. She confirmed that, for the rest of the election cycle, she will be working as the communications director for the Yes on D campaign, a Sanders-backed measure that would increase the sales tax by a half cent.
The move will not affect her Twitter personas, professional Rachel Laing and wild-time TheFunRachel.
