Trolley Dances 2010

If you do one interesting, cultural thing this weekend, make it the Trolley Dances. Here’s why:
- Site-specific dance isn’t something you can see any old day of the week.
- Among many others, there’s a piece set in an empty fountain and one in a fountain filled with water. Intensity and beauty ensues.
- Riding the trolley is cool.
- Seeing the surprised faces of clueless bystanders is priceless.
- Some of the dance pieces are set to live music. Gorgeous live music.
- The intentions of the pieces are all explained in recordings that play right before the performance. There are some cool concepts going on.
