Council appointments round II: DeMaio denied again
DeMaio doubly dissed?
In a memo sent out today, San Diego City Council President Tony Young announced further appointments of representatives, alternates and liaisons to outside boards. He gave himself important positions on the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System and the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG).
Again, Republican City Councilmember Carl DeMaio was ignored, with appointments to zero SANDAG committees. Instead, DeMaio will serve on the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve Task Force, the Service Authority for Freeway Emergencies and the San Dieguito River Valley Regional Open Space organization, assuming it continues to exist.
And, again, Young spells Lorie Zapf’s name horribly wrong (Lori Zaph), though this time she did pick up some decent appointments.
